„Heimat“, home, is an emotion. It’s a person, a location, sound, light, an empty beach chair, a quote. „wunderland“ is a project looking for home as an emotional place rather than a geographical one, traveling through the area where I live right now, Germany’s northern most federal state of Schleswig-Holstein, the land of the horizons as they used to say. Or, to quote expressionist painter Emil Nolde: „My wonderland from sea to sea."
